Why You Have Green Blood Underwater


FACT OF THE DAY: It’s not that your blood actually turns to the color green underwater. It begins to appear that way at around the 30 feet below mark. Different colors (which are different wavelengths of light) get absorbed by water at a different rate. The color red disappears quicker but blues and greens travel longer.
