FACT OF THE DAY:  Rick Astley, the British singer who made it #1 worldwide in 1987 with his hit song “Never Gonna Give You Up” was once in the FBI. Yes, that is a true statement.

However, it’s not the FBI that you are thinking. He was not a member of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was a member of a local British band called the FBI.

The FBI Ten Most Wanted List

FACT OF THE DAY:  The FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list was released for the first time 67 years ago today, on March 14, 1950.

The idea originated from a news story from the previous year (1949), which released the names of the top criminals that the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) was trying to capture.

The following year, President J. Edgar Hoover gave the “ok” to release this official “10 Most Wanted” list.
