Using Coconut Water as Blood Plasma

FACT OF THE DAY: Did you know that coconut water can be used as blood plasma? Well yes, it’s true. Though not ideal nor recommended, in cases of emergency, the substitution will work.

The low sodium and and high potassium found in the coconut water is what makes it a potential replacement. Human blood plasma is the opposite, it contains low potassium and high sodium.

It is important to note that coconut water and blood plasma are NOT the same thing. But when in dire need, the water can be used.
